New Space: The Ivory Room

On Wednesday we got the exciting chance to preview The Ivory Room and see all of its cuteness! It has an AMAZING view of downtown, with a perfect view of the Scioto Mile. The space hold a 6th story view of downtown. It was a bit of sneak peek! They have just renovated the whole space! The Ivory room is great, because it is a blank slate you can do whatever you like with the space! It would be a great place for wedding. You could have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one place. There is a parking garage attached to the Miranova. Also it is run by Cameron Mitchell Catering so all the food is super yummy!

Wedding: Dick & Elise (a summer affiar)

We had the pleasure of being apart of Dick and Elise's special day in June. It was an Oh so Lovely wedding. Elise was a wonderful bride she had so many fun summer colors. Her ceremony was at the Topiary park downtown and the reception was at the Bluestone. Lang Thomas was there photographer, he was a hoot to work with he had a real southern charm ( he is from Kentucky). Below are a few pictures from the wedding and the link is to the rest of the photos! Happy viewing!

Style Note: Aisle Decor

There are so many things to choose from to dress up your aisle. There's the traditional aisle runner, flowers on the pews (or chairs for non church weddings), there are petals on the aisle and the list goes on and on. A good question to ask yourself is what is the best choice for my ceremony site? and what is permitted? Many venues have rules about what is allowed and what is not - size, materials, etc. Be sure to read up on everything before getting your heart set on something.

I thought I'd share a few of my favorite ideas with you. My piece of advice is, if you can, choose something that can be reused at the reception or cocktail hour. This can provide a nice bit of savings for you and your budget!
