Columbus Bride Love

I'm so happy to share with you our latest media love!

We are on the front page of the Consultant section of Columbus Bride. We were interviewed about why having a wedding planner or consultant is important in making your wedding dream a reality. Erin and Justin (May 17th) were the couple that are featured for the piece.

I believe it's on newsstands now so pick up a copy and check it out! I've got a few extra to share, so let me know if you need a copy of this great local wedding resource.

Thank you to Emilie Duncan from Emilie Duncan Event Planning for being my assistant for the day. Also, I have to say Thank You to Claudia and Isaiah at Aion Arts for coming and taking these beautiful pictures of our reception room.

The Hottest Tickets in Town

...and I've got one to give away!

The Victorian Village Home & Garden Tour is next weekend - Sunday, September 21st. This is the 34th year of the Tour. You get a very unique chance to tour some of the century old homes in the neighborhood as well as some of the new ones that have been build as recently as last year.

I have had the privilege to be a committee member for the Tour for the past 7 years. My husband and I have also been one of the fortunate and honored home owners to have our home be on the Tour (2005). It was such a great experience to share our home and give a sneak peak into all of the work we've put into our own home. The Tour is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Victorian Village Society. All proceeds from the tour go towards neighborhood improvements.

Bad Ike, Bad Ike

So that terrible storm Ike moved through on Sunday night. He made such a mess of everything. We just got our power back on late last night so I've been scrambling to get things ready for Kim & Derek's wedding this Friday and the Victorian Village Tour on Saturday and Sunday. Columbus isn't guaranteed power back in all locations until Sunday. Isn't that INSANE? So needless to say I'm a little behind with the blog this week. Please stay tuned and I'll be back very very soon with more fabulousness with this week's events.

Cleveland Love

My dear friend Darlene finally tied the knot this past weekend!  I'm so happy for her and her new husband Howie.  It was a beautiful day and they looked so in love.  While in Cleveland I also got to catch up with a few friends I had not seen in over a year - the new Mr & Mrs Paul Sturman.  I also was able to finally give them their way overdue wedding present.

The ceremony was at the very beautiful St. Elizabeth of Hungary.  The church is huge and so gorgeous.  The reception was held at the City Club of Cleveland.  An old unique location right in the heart of downtown Cleveland.  I loved the favors each guest received.  A solid milk chocolate Terminal Tower from Mally's Chocolates.  I just love Mally's and hadn't had a yummy little piece of heaven in forever!

Once in a while I have the pleasure of attending a wedding as a guest. I will admit it is sometimes hard to sit back and just enjoy the wedding without wondering why are the cutting the cake now? or who is going to tell the dj they're ready to start the toasts. I know I should stop...it's a problem I have.

Here's one of my favorite pictures from the big day.

I Wish...

I wish...I say this all time! We'll today one of my wishes was granted. I was the guest blogger on Wishpot.com's blog. My topic was 10 Ways to Ensure Your Day Goes Smoothly.

Check it out if you get a chance. While your there, if you're not signed up for Wishpot you should! It's great tool that combines all of the various wish lists that get created on your favorite shopping sites into on neat little list. You can share this list with your friends and family and make shopping for you that much easier. Who doesn't love that?!

Thanks Christine for giving me opportunity to play guest blogger. It was great and I hope I get to do it again one day soon!
